Our Design & Engineering team is looking for an experienced full-time Designer of wood-frame roof trusses for residential construction.

Your day-to-day
Design roof trusses using Mitek softwareIdentify and flag any design issues or discrepancies noticed during the truss design processCommunicate with KOTT Sales, Production and Installation teams to complete estimates in accordance with project timelinesTrack work assignments using KOTT’s Enterprise Resource Management softwareWhat you need to succeed
Experience & Education
At least five years’ experience as a Truss Designer is preferredExperience working on a construction job site is considered an assetA Civil Engineering Technologist or Architectural Technologist Diploma is preferred, but equivalent work experience will be consideredSkills & Qualifications
Experience with Mitek design software, particularly Mitek Sapphire, is requiredStrong general computer skills required, including experience with MS OfficeAbility to read and interpret building plans and drawings is mandatoryFamiliarity with the Ontario Building CodeFluency in English is required; fluency in French is an assetGood verbal and written communications skillsGood interpersonal skills and a team playerApplicants please note
