About the Role:
The Intermediate Data Support Analyst role will provide opportunities to demonstrate an aptitude for learning, initiative and identification of opportunities for system/process improvements. The individual will work with the Manager, Investment Operations, Data Support to support business partners and external parties on all processes relating to data usage, integrity, and investment operations systems. This role is related to a recent vacancy.
Your Responsibilities:
Overall day-to-day operational responsibility for Investment Operations systems with a primary responsibility for Eagle PACE.
Support all functional areas of the Eagle system including Portfolio Maintenance, Fund Performance and Reporting.
Responsible for Data Quality within Investment Operations systems using tools provided.
Monitoring and maintenance of all incoming and outgoing feeds to Investment Operations systems in order to ensure Service Level Agreements with internal clients are met.
Run ad hoc database queries to assist in troubleshooting data related issues.
Act as the liaison between internal teams and vendors to resolve data and system related issues.
Track vendor related issues from discovery to resolution. Monitor issue logs to ensure all issues are addressed and escalated appropriately.
Contribute to ongoing data enhancements through understanding the business data model, business requirements, definitions, etc.
Apply analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver viable solutions. Anticipate obstacles and execute proactive approach to issues.
Build and maintain positive working relationships by effectively communicating and regularly sharing information and knowledge with relevant parties.
Your Qualifications:
Possesses 2+ years operations/production support experience, or comparable educational background.
Knowledge and experience in the maintenance of financial industry Fund and Security Master data.
Advanced knowledge in MS Office (specifically Excel formulas). Experience with macros and VBA would be an asset.
Experience with Eagle Investment Systems and Bloomberg AIM would be an asset.
Strong knowledge and experience with relational databases. Experience in writing SQL queries to analyze data would be an asset.
Experience working with processing and troubleshooting vendor feeds (i.e. Bloomberg, Telekurs).
Working knowledge of various financial instruments (ie. Domestic and International Equities, Domestic and International FI Instruments and Derivatives).
Demonstrated experience in adding operational efficiencies at the process and systems level.
Excellent business acumen: strategic thinking, business process development, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills, detail-oriented with the ability to follow up on items or determine appropriate steps for timely resolution.
Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Compensation
The anticipated compensation range for this role is $57,500 - $85,000 annually, which represents base salary and, where applicable, variable compensation components (e.g., annual bonus, commissions, etc.). Actual compensation will be determined based on many factors such as role location, candidate experience / qualifications, market conditions, and internal equity.
