Agropur is looking for a Production Supervisor rotating shifts, day-evening-night-weekend to join is Truro team.

The Production Supervisor monitors operations of the production department to ensure that qualitative and quantitative measures included in the operating plan are met. Specific focus is on sanitation and quality results (HACCP and SQF), health and safety, good manufacturing practices and productivity. The incumbent participates to maintain the requirements on food safety, quality and defense. Other areas of focus are employee relations, production scheduling / staffing, cost reductions, and customer satisfaction.

Salary range 004 : 67 700$ to 84 600$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)

What’s involved in this role :

More specifically, the Truro Production Supervisor’s responsibilities will include :

Ensure compliance of health and safety regulations, and ability to implement programs to improve safety culture.

• Provide leadership, direction and coaching to the production team;

Promote and enhance a positive employee relation atmosphere including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement.

Track efficiencies & productivity, measure results and communicate performance­.

What you need to join our team

College or university diploma in a relevant field.

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a supervisor with direct involvement in a unionized production facility.

Computer literacy, ideally with MS Office (Word and Excel).

Knowledge of quality assurance systems (GMP, HACCP and SQF), an asset.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing and leading change would be considered an asset.

Must be able to work 8hour shifts based on a 24 / 7 operation.
