What You'll Do
- Efficiently pick and assemble orders from various temperature areas with great care and quality in mind to achieve on‑time delivery to customers.
- Pack orders with attention to detail, including distinguishing between similarly named products, exact quantity, and correct product codes.
- Ensure that picked products are of the highest quality (e.g., no damaged items, freshest selection, etc.).
- Correctly document and label all orders by interpreting and understanding documentation such as pick slips, packaging details, shipping labels, etc.
- Optimize tote fill by packing orders in a space‑efficient manner while still maintaining product quality standards.
- Balance fulfillment responsibilities with customer interaction, offering service and supporting issue resolution.
- Strictly adhere to safety and food hygiene standards, keep the work area clean, immediately clean up spills and debris, ensure totes are clean and void of debris before packing; safely operate material handling equipment and complete all safety pre‑inspection checks before use; exhibit behaviors that support Walmart’s mission and core values.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting changes to operational procedures, productivity standards, efficiencies, customer satisfaction, safety, working conditions, and quality standards; demonstrate flexibility in completing or adjusting tasks based on customer requests and meeting daily delivery schedules.
The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $16.15 per hour. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
