Position Overview
Our Nuclear Analysts play a key technical role in the performance of various projects within the Calian Nuclear team. These Analysts support technical projects in the core areas of the group which include :
- Nuclear Safety and Licensing
- Environmental Protection and Impact Assessments
- Decommissioning and Waste Management
- Emergency Preparedness and Training
- Systems Engineering and Robotics
We are looking for Nuclear Analysts of different seniority levels to join the team and assist in the important work our team is doing within the Nuclear industry.
Responsibilities
Perform and support technical, engineering, and scientific project work for Calian Nuclear customersSupport and lead the development of high-quality technical reports and documentsAct as a resource to the management team in support of developing business opportunities and proposalsEnsure all project work is performed in accordance with the Calian Nuclear Quality Assurance Program (QAP)Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and potential business partnersQualifications
Junior Analyst
Entry level with 0-2 years of experience in a relevant fieldUniversity Degree in Engineering, Science, or other relevant disciplinePerforms work under the direct supervision of a project managerCritically analyzes tasks and proposes methods and approachesAnalyst
Minimum 2+ years of experience in a relevant field
Develops and proposes methods and approaches to support direction provided by more senior team membersTakes on increasing levels of responsibilities for the performance of project tasks and liaison with the clientsRegistration in an appropriate professional certification program (e.g., PEng in training / EIT) is an assetIntermediate Analyst
Minimum 4+ years of experience in a relevant fieldP.Eng. or equivalent certification is an asset for technical rolesPlays a key technical role in the performance of projects, including occasionally leading the team as a principal investigatorIs independent and autonomous in the performance of tasks; determines the best approach to solving problemsSenior Analyst
Minimum 7+ years of experience in a relevant fieldRecognized as an emerging specialist in a relevant fieldSupervises technical teams in completing project workIncreasing level of responsibility for all aspects of a projectTechnical lead for projects with minimal supervisionMentors more junior project staff successfullyOften acts as technical interface with customersAdditional Requirements
A post-secondary degree in Engineering, Sciences, Emergency Management, or another related disciplineA clear sense of urgency to achieve results.
