Word of warning - If you are more interested in pursuing a through and through Accounting / Reporting style role, this may NOT the role for you.

Although the position still has aspects of Accounting / Controllership (about 30% of your monthly duties), the role is more geared towards strategy, consultation, analysis, forecasting and modelling around business growth and raising capital. They have an outside bookkeeping firm taking care of the day to day.

You are an entrepreneurial minded self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal skills, are detail oriented, possesses a high degree of intellectual curiosity and a strong foundation in finance and accounting.

What You’ll Do

  • Own financial planning, analysis, and forecasting for monthly, annual, and long-term horizons.
  • Support high-stakes initiatives like raising capital and investor relations, managing due diligence processes and data rooms.
  • Develop sophisticated financial models to drive decisions in existing and new markets.
  • Partner with third-party accountants to ensure seamless and accurate financial reporting.
  • Take on ad-hoc strategic projects that shape the company’s trajectory.

  • A CPA with a strong academic foundation in Finance or Accounting.
  • An Excel wizard, adept at crafting dynamic financial models and presenting insights.
  • Self-reliant, organized, and comfortable navigating a hybrid, mostly remote work environment.
  • A natural communicator who thrives in collaborative teams but isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
  • Passionate about cleanTech and eager to contribute beyond finance.
