Located in Niagara Falls, within 1.8 km of Skylon Tower and 1.8 km of Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort, The Highlander Inn provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private parking for guests who drive. At the inn, every room comes with air conditioning, a desk, a terrace with a city view, a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, bed linen and towels. All units provide guests with a fridge.

The Highlander Inn is currently looking for a Motel Managing Supervisor. This individual would report to the Operations Manager, and shall be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the motel’s day-to-day functioning, attending to resident and check-in guests’ inquiries in a professional manner, Co-ordinate, assign and review work and ensures that computer systems, equipment and machinery are functioning smoothly.

What will I be doing?

Specifically, the right candidate will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards :

  • Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of clerks and other employees
  • Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other departments
  • Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures and motel policies
  • Assist guests with special needs
  • Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work, when required
  • Requisition materials and supplies
  • Resolve work-related issues, and prepare and submit progress reports

This provides a general overview of the role; however, actual duties and responsibilities will vary depending on business needs
