Technology Infrastructure Manager

A leading Canadian P&C insurer is seeking a strategic and hands-on Technology Infrastructure Manager to oversee enterprise operations. The role focuses on leading the delivery of superior digital experiences through robust infrastructure management. You will be responsible for both high-level strategy and day-to-day technical leadership within a multi-channel environment. Responsibilities
The Technology Infrastructure Manager will oversee network, server, and security operations.
You will combine deep technical expertise (Windows, .NET, MS SQL, Fortinet, Cisco) with
strategic leadership to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
● Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of infrastructure
professionals.
● Infrastructure Oversight: Oversee the design and maintenance of Windows Server
environments, .NET applications, and SQL databases.
● Network & Security: Optimize Fortinet firewalls and Cisco/Dell switching environments;
enforce IT security policies in alignment with industry standards.
● Systems Management: Maintain Microsoft Hyper-V HA Failover Clusters and Dell
Blade/PowerMax/SAN infrastructure.
● Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure infrastructure
supports long-term corporate goals.
● Operations: Manage vendor relationships, track budgets, and lead disaster
recovery/business continuity planning.

Qualifications
What You Bring

● Experience: Minimum 15 years in IT infrastructure with 7+ years in a formal
leadership/management role.
● Technical Depth: Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server, MS SQL, and .NET
environments.
● Hardware & Networking: Proven experience with Dell Blade/PowerMax, Compellent
SAN, and Cisco/Dell networking protocols.
● Security Focus: Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewall configuration and modern
cybersecurity frameworks.
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT.
● Certifications (Preferred): MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, CISSP, or Fortinet NSE.
● Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the communication skills
necessary to manage diverse stakeholders.
