ATCO is hiring students who have completed one year in the Electrical and Wireless System (Communications) Technologist programs to join our Technical Internship Program in positions throughout service areas in Alberta.

The Technical Internship Program runs from May 4 to August 28 2026 and is a great way to kick off an engaging career with us.

Relocation assistance may be provided to successful candidates.

Responsibilities of Electrical Technologist :

• Assisting the Electrical Technologist Team Leader or Electrical Technologist Qualified with switching in substations performing maintenance activities on substation equipment working in isolated generation facilities in troubleshooting completing repairs construction installation and commissioning of equipment.
• Assist with commission testing troubleshooting and repairs on distribution equipment.
• Assist in responding to trouble calls related to equipment failures and alarms within transmission facilities.
