Pay range : CA$26.38 / hr – CA$35.22 / hr (based on skills and experience)
Job overview : The employee performs technical tasks related to the development and implementation of standards and activities related to administrative operations. The employee may assist professionals and senior managers.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the school principal, adapt and apply procedures for administrative operations : enrollment, registration, examinations, report card preparation, certificates.
- Prepare school or center schedules considering programs offered, course choices, teaching fields, pedagogical framework, available rooms, group formation rules, teaching periods.
- Submit schedules to management and incorporate requested changes.
- Gather required data for student enrollment and course selection, design and adapt forms, ensure returned forms are correct, compile statistics for scheduling.
- Use appropriate software to perform analyses, extractions, operations, and prepare reports for compliance : enrollment management, report card preparation, disciplinary actions, finance, accounting, budgeting, student transfers, permanent codes, absences, substitute teaching, school transportation, failures and various lists or reports to be transmitted, especially to the Ministry; update student records.
- Provide training and support on school organization procedures and use of various software to involved personnel.
- Respond to information requests from colleagues, administration, or parents.
- Develop and adapt work methods and procedures, ensuring their application.
- Collaborate in file analysis, participate in standard development, ensure application.
- Apply or adapt management techniques for specific administrative activities and routine operations.
- Prepare reports for relevant organizations and ensure distribution.
- Use a computer and necessary software; conduct Internet research; help staff with specific software.
- May train less experienced technicians and coordinate support staff for tasks related to program implementation involving technical operations.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Requirements
Bilingual (English & French) – oral and written.Mastery of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams) and Google environment.Knowledge of GPI considered an asset.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.Experience in a similar role considered an asset.Education
Diploma in general administrative technology or other appropriate technical studies at college level.Or diploma / degree recognized as equivalent by competent authority.Seniority Level : Entry level
