JOB OVERVIEW
The Real Estate and Development Branch is looking for a talented Real Estate Analyst – Asset Management to join our team and share our passion for striving for excellence.
In the Real Estate Analyst role, you will be responsible for the administration of various real estate activities and tasks related to Built Asset Management. You will conduct a variety of analyses, inspections, and reporting focused on real estate strategies in support of NCC's Real Estate and Development portfolio. You will also participate with internal working teams for the planning, design and implementation of portfolio objectives related to strategic asset management of buildings. In addition, as a Real Estate Analyst, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of the NCC`s Major project priorities.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in real estate asset management, engineering, building science, or an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience providing professional services in real estate asset management, including :
- working on issues related to the management of real property including strategic investment plans, asset management, or portfolio planning.
- negotiating and / or preparing real property related contracts, documents, and agreements.
- researching, organizing, analyzing, and summarizing information from various sources related to maintenance and operations in real property.
KNOWLEDGE
Of asset and portfolio management principles, base building systems, commissioning and decommissioning of operating real estate assets, project management and generally, best practices related to real property.Of the real property financial / investment analysis.ABILITIES
To evaluate issues of various complexity, and identify areas of concern, provide alternatives, and use sound judgement.To create and maintain databases of information related to real estate assets and the operating portfolio.To provide support to project leadership and management activities.COMPETENCIES

Primarily working in a controlled office environment with little exposure to unpleasant conditions.Frequently driving to and accessing, inspecting properties owned and managed by the NCC.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Possess or eligible to obtain Secret security clearance.Linguistic profile : Bilingual BBB, or Unilingual English or French.Possess a valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent).Position is in the National Capital Region. The person selected for this position must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace at 40 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario.The National Capital Commission’s workplace is a hybrid and flexible work environment, all employees are currently required to work on-site at least two (2) days per week.
