Winder Electrical Mechanic - Full-Time Opportunity in Hamilton, ON

Position Type : Permanent, Full-Time

Location : Hamilton, ON

Salary : $30 / hr - $33 / hr, based on experience

Shift : Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4 pm

This role is perfect for a detail-oriented, safety-conscious professional who enjoys troubleshooting and repairing essential machinery.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Interpret blueprints to determine specific work requirements
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electric motors, generators, transformers, and other electro-mechanical equipment
  • Fabricate or recondition parts using machining tools
  • Replace or recondition critical components, including bearings, shafts, and commutators
  • Wind and install various coil types; weld or braze components
  • Conduct balancing of armatures and rotors, and perform static / dynamic testing on repaired equipment
  • Specializations :

    Focus areas include electric motors, transformers, industrial motors, rotors, shafts, bearings, coils, armatures, and generators.

    Work Environment & Physical Demands :

  • On-site in a dynamic, hands-on environment with some noise
  • Physical requirements include standing, bending, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods
  • Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Completion of secondary school with relevant training or vocational program
  • Must have own tools, safety equipment, steel-toed boots, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
