Role Overview

To support its technological transformation and to steer informed data-driven decision-making across the organization, Intelcom is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst Developer to support data engineers, developers and data scientists.

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with experience and strong skills on User Interface (UI) and visual design.

Reporting to the BI Director, your role and responsibility will be to :

• Analyze clients’ needs to translate them into detailed specifications for their realization
• Design, develop & maintain BI solutions that provide valuable insights through intuitive and visually appealing interfaces
• Be the technical leader of the Data Analysis Squad

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Senior BI Analyst Developer will cover partially the BI development lifecycle :

• Data Analysis : Analyze and interpret complex source datasets to uncover data transformation strategies as well as actionable insights and trendsDevelop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance
• BI Development : Contribute to the BI solutions, architectures and their detailed designDocument functional design analytics : Data transformation mappingWorkflows’ design (BPO)Operationalization and support processIdentify and recommend opportunities for system improvementFoster quality and integrous solutions by developing and documenting test scenarios, validation tasks on reports, dashboards and datasetsPrepare and accompany users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Create and maintain data models, dashboards and reports for various business unitsPropose and deploy data input templates for the business units where needed
• Requirements Gathering : Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business, data and analytical requirements to ensure BI solutions meet their needsTranslate the requirements in technical specifications
• Performance Optimization : Identify opportunities for performance improvement in existing BI solutionsOptimize queries and data structures to enhance report and dashboard performance
• Documentation : create and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including data dictionaries, technical specifications and user guides
• Training and Support : Act as a SME on software functionalities as well as data availability, quality and utilityProvide training and documentation to end-users and super users on BI tools and reportsOffer on-going support to address user inquiries, issues and ad hoc analysis.

Propose solutions and action plans

T echnical Leadership : Act as a technical leader for a team (squad), guiding and mentoring team members in the development of BI solutionsProvide technical expertise and mentorship to improve the team's skills and ensure the application of best practices in BI developmentCoordinate development activities with other technical teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of solutionsParticipate in code reviews, ensure code quality, and promote a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years working in business intelligence projects
• At least 7 years working as a functional analyst in data projects with actual experience documenting data flows, business cases and data dictionaries
• Academic degree in related area (Analytics, Business Analysis, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.)
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases
• Good knowledge of ETL / ELT principles, data model standards and integration
• Expertise in Power BI or similar tools (Tableau etc.)
• Experience with the following is a plus : Data warehousing methodologiesCloud Technologies (Azure, AWS, Snowflake )
