Blackstone Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Armed Protection Officer for their Healthcare Security Client in Northern and Southern California.
JOB SUMMARY :
As part of the Regional Security Services team, the Armed Protection Officer (APO) is responsible for the physical and personal security for members, staff, and visitors within the health care client facilities. This includes responding to emergency situations, preserving order, and enforcing regulations related to personnel, visitors, and premises. Protects staff and property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards and interference, including the potential for violence in the workplace. The APO will partner with security and clinical leaders to establish a unified care team to identify and mitigate security and workplace violence risks. To learn more visit our website :

Facility Safety & Incident Response
- Respond to crimes in progress and take appropriate action on the exterior of the healthcare facility
- Make private person arrests when necessary and within policy
- Respond into healthcare facility interior for Code Gray responses
- Lead de-escalation efforts
- Provide a professional security presence
- Act as a safety ambassador for the facility
- Provide campus safety recommendations
- Liaison with administrative and clinical leadership
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with local law enforcement
Prevention of Workplace Violence (PWV)
Serve as the facility subject matter expert on the Prevention of Workplace ViolenceRespond to violent incidents of workplace violenceStay current on training and trends in the PWV fieldThreat Management
Lead and support threat management investigationsMitigate potential threats through collaboration with key stakeholders and the Threat Management TeamTraining

Candidates must possess prior experience in law enforcement or military law enforcement. This entails having served in an official capacity within a law enforcement agency or the US Military law enforcement. Roles as a security guard, whether armed or unarmed, do not fulfill this requirement on their own.
