Job Summary
- Co-ordinates, designs, implements, and evaluates the development of the Paediatric Outpatient clinics
- Coordinates and triages patient appointments and follow up care
- Participates in research activity
- Facilitate workflow for multiple Paediatric Outpatient clinics
- Works collaboratively and in conjunction with the Paediatric inpatient unit, NICU, POGO, BU and PPU
- Monitors and evaluates quality and satisfaction of the program through customer, staff and physician feedback
- Provides leadership and effectively manages complex clinical decisions
Primary Responsibilities
The paediatric outpatient RN will function to coordinate the operations of the outpatient clinic in collaboration with paediatricians and other members of the interdisciplinary team. The individual will provide leadership and knowledge entrenched in evidence-based practice for the paediatric patients and their care. The paediatric clinic nurse will coordinate the flow of the patients through the outpatient clinic by triaging all referrals made to the clinic.
Qualifications
