Job description

We’re on the lookout for a Social Media Community Manager who’s not just social media savvy but internet fluent —someone who lives and breathes IG, TikTok, memes, emojis, and all things online culture. You’ll be at the forefront of managing and nurturing relationships with our vibrant online community, ensuring that every interaction is on-brand, engaging, and totally in the moment . The role requires an innate understanding of internet slang, meme culture, and trending topics, as well as a keen ability to communicate in a fun yet professional way.

In this role, you will actively engage with followers, comment on relevant celebrity and influencer content, and help build our community across Instagram (IG) and TikTok. Whether it's spotting the latest trends or crafting the perfect response, you'll be an essential part of maintaining our online presence.

Key Responsibilities :

Engagement Management : Own daily interactions with followers on Instagram and TikTok, from DMs to comments. Use emojis, internet acronyms (LOL, BRB, etc.), and memes to keep the tone fresh, fun, and totally on point.

Influencer & Celebrity Interactions : Strategically engage with influencers, celebrities, and brand content. Respond in a way that’s relevant to trending conversations, using unique language and emojis that fit the vibe of the post (without overdoing it, of course). Make sure we’re always in the conversation, but never just “filler” content.

Content Moderation & Community Monitoring : Oversee comments and posts to ensure everything aligns with our brand voice. Use your internet savvy to moderate effectively while staying on top of the latest memes, jokes, and viral topics.

Brand Voice Consistency : Keep the brand’s tone consistent while staying true to internet culture. This means maintaining a balance between friendly, professional, and playful communication. It’s all about striking that perfect tone—whether it’s a witty response or a heartfelt thank-you to a loyal follower.

Trend Spotting : Stay plugged into the social media zeitgeist. Be on the lookout for the latest TikTok dances, viral memes, and celebrity moments to make sure we’re always in the conversation—whether that means commenting with the latest meme or jumping in on a trending hashtag.

Customer Feedback & Insights : Collect insights and feedback from the community and pass them along to the internal team. You’ll be the eyes and ears on the ground for anything that could influence future campaigns or content decisions.

Building Relationships : Develop meaningful connections with key influencers and top fans, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and like they’re part of our inner circle . The more personal and engaging, the better!

Qualifications :

Experience : 1-2 years managing social media communities, particularly on Instagram and TikTok. You’re a pro at navigating these platforms and know how to keep things fun and engaging.

Excellent English Proficiency : Strong written communication skills, with an ability to be professional yet conversational. You’re great at mixing formal language with internet lingo to keep things on trend .

Social Media Savvy : You’re deeply familiar with how Instagram and TikTok work, not just from a user’s perspective but also from a content creation and community engagement standpoint.

Internet Culture Fluency : You understand and can fluently speak the language of internet culture—whether that’s through slang, acronyms (FYI, FOMO, TBH, etc.), memes, or using emojis in the right places.

Proactive & Engaging : You're always thinking ahead, whether it’s jumping on the latest meme or starting a conversation that gets people talking.

Influencer Engagement : You know how to comment on influencer and celebrity posts with just the right touch of humor or relevance to build brand visibility in a genuine way.

Multitasking : The ability to manage a high volume of interactions on a variety of social media platforms—without losing your cool or your voice.

Cultural Awareness : You know what’s hot and what’s not, whether it’s TikTok trends or viral IG stories. Your finger is always on the pulse of internet culture and pop culture.

Nice-to-Have :

  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar platforms).
  • Previous customer service or community support experience.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools to track engagement and growth metrics.
