We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Site Superintendent to join our team in the Site Division . The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Construction Site Superintendent will play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, managing resources, and maintaining a high standard of quality throughout the construction process.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, coordinating, and supervising subcontractors, vendors, and laborers.
- Monitor progress and ensure projects are completed according to specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and building codes.
- Manage site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment utilization, and waste disposal.
- Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to find effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing leadership and guidance to on-site personnel.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members to ensure project objectives are met and expectations are exceeded.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing commercial, industrial or civil engineering projects.Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices, with expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor on-site personnel to achieve project goals.Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Demonstrated commitment to safety, with knowledge of OHSA regulations and industry standards.Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.Rutherford is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
