Accounting Manager ( On- Site ) -Full time

Scarborough / Markham area

5 Years of Experience minimum

Key Requirements :

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).

Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

Strong knowledge of GAAP IFRS and financial regulations. / Experience with tax compliance and corporate governance.

Proficient in accounting software (financial interfaces with Oracle / SAP or similar (asset) and strong user of Microsoft Excel.

Strong organizational leadership and communication skills.

Ability to analyze financial data and present findings clearly and concisely and being detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize deadlines.

Understand intercompany reconciliation & multi branch accounting & in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.

Exposure with Hedge Accounting and Foreign exchange transactions.

Key Responsibilites :

Month-End & Year-End Close :

Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.

Review journal entries account reconciliations and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.

Review the monthly GST / HST / PST / QST Tax filings / Assist with CRA audits

Coordinate the preparation of tax filing packages and support the annual & quarterly audit process

Financial Reporting & Analysis :

Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS .

Oversee the preparation and submission of various financial reporting requirements for management & internal stakeholders.

Produce financial analysis to identify variances trends and areas for improvement.

Internal Controls & Compliance :

Recommend process improvements and controls as needed.

Maintaining strong system of internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting & protect company assets .

Stay on top of compliance with accounting regulations internal policies and industry standards.

Leadership & Supervvisory Skills :

Lead mentor and develop the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting activities.

Give guidance on accounting issues while ensuring your team adheres to internal policies and accounting principles.
