Starting April 1, 2023, all federal employees will be required to work from a Government of Canada workplace at least two to three times per week, or 40% to 60% of their regular schedule. At Transport Canada (TC), this means we work at a worksite at least eight days during a four-week period. Worksites include, but are not limited to, spaces such as TC approved worksites and collaborative spaces; Locations where TC inspectors conduct their work inspections or locations of stakeholder activities and meetings as well as Government of Canada touchdown and collaborative spaces.

They are accountable for decisions that directly impact the safety of Canadians.

The intent of this selection process is to create a pool of qualified and / or partially qualified candidates that could be used to staff similar positions in Transport Canada where the tenure, language requirements and security requirements may vary.

STREAM 1 : CASI - Airworthiness
A valid Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License.STREAM 2 - Airworthiness (Manufacturing)
A valid Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License, or an aviation related college diploma / university degree, or an acceptable combination of education, aviation experience and aviation related training.EXPERIENCES (STREAM 1 AND 2)
Recent experiencein holding Aircraft Certifying Authority (ACA) or Shop Certifying Authority (SCA) in a Canadian approved aircraft maintenance organization (AMO) and / or holding certifying authority within a Canadian approved manufacturing organization; OR Recent experiencein holding supervisory or maintenance control, and / or production control or quality assurance responsibilities in a Canadian AMO or Canadian approved manufacturer.Extensive experience in performance of complex activities in a wide variety of situations and has six (6) or more years of Industry experience as a licensed AME and / or aeronautical manufacturing technician;Extensive experience demonstrating an increasing level of responsibility throughout their career.Recent experience is defined as experience acquired within the last six (6) years.The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)
