Development Manager
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the Director of Development and the development team on multi-family and mixed-use projects.
- Navigate development and building approval processes, ensuring compliance with municipal regulations.
- Support land designations, rezoning, and permitting.
- Assist with acquisition due diligence and analysis.
- Procure and manage multidisciplinary consultant teams (urban designers, architects, landscape architects, civil engineers, etc.).
- Review and monitor architectural and engineering plans.
- Manage project development objectives, budgets, schedules, deliverables, and reporting.
- Build positive relationships with municipal staff, community representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Attend community events for engagement.
- Attend site and office meetings, prepare minutes, and improve project flow.
Qualifications :
- 3-5 years of full-cycle development experience, including multi-family residential and commercial projects.
- Education or background in Real Estate, Planning, Urban Land Economics, Architecture, or Engineering.
- Thorough knowledge of local municipal planning and development guidelines and policies.
- Comprehensive understanding of city permit applications, bylaws, building requirements, community consultation, and approvals processes.
- Established relationships with municipal staff, design consultants, and City Councils.
- Knowledge of drawing standards and the ability to review consultant drawing submissions.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); familiarity with Bluebeam is an asset.
- A competitive compensation package : $100,000 to $130,000
