Warehouse Associate- Cold Storage

Staffmax is hiring a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate- Cold Storage to support operations in our client’s cold storage facility. This 3-month contract role involves manual material handling in refrigerated conditions and is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, dependable, and comfortable working in low temperatures.

Contract length: 3 Months
Location: Ottawa, ON

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the loading and unloading of products in and out of cold storage

• Transport boxes and containers using hand trucks or dollies

• Verify product quantity and condition during transfers

• Work in temperature-controlled environments (0°C to 4°C) for extended periods

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in loading and storage areas

• Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors promptly

• Follow all workplace safety and hygiene protocols

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a warehouse or swamper role is an asset

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically repetitive tasks

• Comfortable working in cold environments for long periods

• Must have CSA-approved steel-toe boots and appropriate cold-weather gear

• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to follow directions
