Junior Accountant

Assist with month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and journal entries

Prepare and post journal entries, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations

Manage Accounts Payable, including posting transactions and matching supporting documentation

Handle Accounts Receivable invoicing and posting

Process and post payments (cheques and EFTs)

Make government and statutory payments (e.g., EHT, Corporate Tax filings, etc.)

Prepare basic financial reports and support internal reporting requirements

Post Visa / credit card transactions

Scan and organize financial documentation and paperwork

Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy

Use Sage 50 Accounting for all accounting entries and transactions

Utilize Excel, including VLOOKUPs, to analyze data and identify discrepancies

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Experience that exceeds basic bookkeeping responsibilities

CPA designation not required

Hands-on experience with Sage 50 strongly preferred

Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and data reconciliation

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Comfortable working fully on-site and focusing solely on financial tasks
