Job Description

The Municipal Engineer will apply civil engineering expertise, civil technology, and construction management principles. Expect to work effectively within a team, communicate with project members and clients, and show initiative, motivation, and enthusiasm. Responsibilities include designing and overseeing municipal infrastructure projects in the water, wastewater, and stormwater sectors.

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of water, wastewater, and drainage conveyance infrastructure in a municipal environment.
• Design civil systems associated with municipal water and / or wastewater / drainage conveyance facilities.
• Perform constructability reviews.
• Conduct construction inspections.
• Lead construction contract administration.
• Prepare documentation for design projects and reports.
• Prepare construction cost estimates.
• Develop project specifications and contract documents.
• Client communication and management.
• Assist with proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and coordination with regulatory agencies.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Compensation

Base salary ranges from CAD 75,000 to CAD 120,000 per year, based on education, experience, and location.
