Job description

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Director, Partner Relations to join our growing Partner Relations team to provide strategic direction and take ApplyBoard to the next level!

In this role you will lead the Canada Partner Relations Managers, optimizing and growing the Canadian market for ApplyBoard. In addition, you will support the development of partnerships for ApplyBoard to institutions across Canada as well as government offices, and other relevant organizations. The Director, Partner Relations will report to the Senior Director, Partner Relations to develop, implement, manage and monitor different initiatives to support students and our institution partners. The successful candidate will also provide leadership, strategic planning, advice, and ongoing support to our internal Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing and Product teams.

What you'll be doing every day :

Develop department’s vision, operating principles, strategy, approach and performance goals, in alignment with ApplyBoard's goal alignment methodology, delivering against unified Sales & Marketing vision, strategy and plan.

Attract, develop, engage, coach and retain a team of experienced Partner Relations Managers in Can and build out a high-performance team.

Work in collaboration with the rest of Partner Relation Team, acts as key stakeholder and consultant in customer experience initiatives across the company, advising on prioritization and design and measuring outcomes

Expand partnerships and market share within Canada, both in terms of the number of partners and the collaboration with existing partners.

Develop creative solutions around challenges and issues both internally and externally.

Act as subject matter expert to support institutions with internalization strategies and strategic enrollment planning.

Elevate ApplyBoard’s brand and reputation in Canada that we operate to be the leader in the space.

Lead the introduction and sales efforts of new products and services, including, but not limited to, SAAS-based and other technology-based solutions.

Work cross-functionally on go-to-market strategies, forecasting, and planning.

What you bring to the table :

10+ years of post-degree experience.

7+ years progressive management / leadership experience in international education

5+ years of team management, especially in developing high-performance teams.

2+ years experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts.

Demonstrated leadership, effective ability to interact with others and deal with ambiguous situations.

Proven experience in excellent customer service to both internal stakeholders and external clients.

Strong problem-solving and project management skills.

Flexibility in adapting to change and the ability to succeed in a complex start-up environment with remote supervision.

Demonstrated ability to use data and make business decisions using data.

Deliver strong presentations and proven business development skills.

Ability to establish and maintain strong cooperative internal and external relationships
