As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will :
- Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings (net new sales) through post-sales (customer satisfaction, upselling, and subscription renewals)
- Support the technical needs of customers including discovering new use cases for Cloudera’s technology
- Design solutions for your customers’ needs using Cloudera technologies, based on reference architectures and common patterns
- Demonstrate Cloudera products in a way that inspires your customers to say “yes” to Cloudera
- Partner with your Account Managers to show your customers the true value of a Cloudera solution and drive successful sales
- Present product roadmap and vision to inspire your customers to think bigger
- Interface with other Cloudera teams to ensure your customers hear one Cloudera voice
- Advocate for your customers’ needs to Product Management and Engineering
- Participate in external publicity and evangelism (conferences, meetups, webinars, blogs)

A passion for using technology to make a difference to people and organisations. We'll supply some amazing tools to help you with this, and you'll provide the connection to use cases, which make it real for your customersA minimum of 5 years experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a technical sales contextA University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related fieldExperience in the entire lifecycle from gathering and understanding business requirements to design to technology evaluation to pilot program to implementation to production maintenance and supportConfidence working with customers and public speaking on Cloudera’s vision, proposed architectures and business outcomes to all levelsAbility to be technically hands-on and have a problem solving personalityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBachelor's degree from an accredited university requiredAbility to travel domestically and internationallyExperience with the following technologies :Big Data, Data Warehousing or Relational Databases - Knowledge of the Cloudera Data Platform and the Hadoop ecosystem is a plusOne or more of the three major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure or GCP) - certification is a plusPractical experience with the full data lifecycle from data ingestion to data engineering, data warehouse, operational data store, data science and machine learningKnowledge around Operations, Infosec and Data Governance within the enterprise adopting hybrid cloud approachUnix / Linux expertise including solid OS and networking fundamentalsFoundational experience with Java / OO programming, Python or other scripting languagesExperience with Spark, Kafka, Flink, Hive, Impala and other open source projectsExperience with KubernetesFoundational experience with DevOps or MLOpsWhat you can expect from us :
