What will you do in this job
Act with integrity honesty and professionalism that reflects the culture values and mission of PursuitLead all BOH culinary operations at Sky Bistro including à la carte dining banquets and group event functionsProvide inspirational leadership training and mentorship to the culinary teamDevelop and execute seasonal menus that reflect the Sky Bistro brand and local ingredientsAdhere to financial forecasts and budgets; monitor and control food and labor costsEnsure all recipes and culinary standards are consistently executed to the highest levelMaintain full compliance with AHS food safety and sanitation regulationsOversee kitchen scheduling in alignment with operational and revenue demandsEnsure completion of daily and weekly operational checklists prep lists and line checksCollaborate with FOH leadership to deliver seamless and memorable guest experiencesBuild and foster a positive inclusive and diverse work environmentSupport leadership development through training performance management and succession planningAttend banquet and event review meetings; contribute to planning and execution of special eventsWhat skills and experience do you need for this job
Minimum 8 years of progressive culinary leadership experience including at least 3 years in a Head Chef or senior management roleFormal culinary certification or equivalent international qualification (Red Seal is considered an asset)Demonstrated success managing high-volume fast-paced dining operationsProven track record in menu development recipe engineering and cost controlIn-depth knowledge of food safety sanitation and workplace safety standardsExcellent leadership communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in scheduling ordering and inventory management systemsAbility to thrive in a mountaintop operation with unique logistical challengesStrong organizational and time-management skillsComputer literacy with hospitality systems (recipe costing scheduling software etc.)Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences through culinary excellenceMust hold a valid Canadian work visa or be legally eligible to work in CanadaWhat will make you stand out
