About Our Opportunity

As a valued member of the System Integration Digital Health team, reporting to the Director Digital Strategy & Governance. This position is responsible for obtaining a deep understand of the digital ecosystem within the Nova Scotia Health System and lead the advisory on digital health direction in Nova Scotia.

Primary Accountabilities

This role will support the development of the strategic direction of digital health in Nova Scotia through collaboration with partners. Their two main functions will be an early partner to advise and establish initiatives in the right direction leveraging their experiences in digital implementations, in partnership with the system, for the patient, provider and bigger picture strategy and identifying where the to enable key digital health files in the province. This role will help identify world-best approaches to digital health, while creating robust standards and governance. They will be supported by Senior Project Manager roles who will advise the respective areas of focus and partner on key digital initiatives that contribute to system transformation.

Qualifications and Experience

As the ideal candidate for this position, you will have a bachelor’s degree plus several years of progressive experience in a related field. An acceptable equivalent combination of training or experience may be considered.

You will possess :

  • Significant experience managing engagement with internal and / or external stakeholders,
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of government, and familiarity with the NS health system including health authorities, long term care, primary care and more.
  • Excellent strategizing, organizational and planning skills,
  • Superior project management and time management skills.
  • In addition to the above, you will possess strong skills in Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability and desire to learn new programs. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 for the purpose of correspondence management would be considered an asset.

    You will have excellent interpersonal skills and have a high level of competence in both written and verbal communication. As decisions and recommendations may be highly sensitive and political, you will have excellent judgement, a high degree of professionalism along with respect for discretion and confidentiality of information. You must be able to effectively prioritize and respond to high volumes of work.

    Working Conditions
