Unit Summary
Ward 8 South is an active adult general internal medicine unit with a 4-bed Step-Down Unit. An interdisciplinary team provides care to an acutely ill, primarily geriatric, patient population, including patients with multi-system chronic illnesses.
Position Summary
The Occupational Therapist practices in accordance with the Code of Ethics established by the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the provision of assessments, treatment interventions, discharge planning and community liaison. Some coverage to other clinical areas will be provided as needed.
Schedule Work HoursMonday to Friday; days, weekends, holidays
Qualifications1. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
