Property Manager Commercial Real Estate Montreal (Old port) Up to $95

Hays Property & Real Estate is proud to partner with a growing landlord and operator of mixed-use real estate who are currently in search of a Property Manager for their portfolio in downtown Montreal.
Your new role
As Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities and maintenance of K SQFT of commercial (restaurant, retail office) and 50-75 doors .
Responsibilities include
- Responsible for all building operations; maintenance staff, external contractors and building technical facilities (HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems, fire and personal safety systems, building controls and risk management)
- Perform weekly inspections of the buildings and property grounds
- Ensure that the highest level of preventative safety measures and cleanliness are met
- Prepare, monitor and manage the annual expense budget
- Prepare monthly forecasts, variance reports, and adjustments for the accounting department
- Monitor all public services
- Negotiate and manage all service contracts with the property services group
- Manage sustainability processes
- Manage tenant construction work
- Collaborate with various departments and suppliers
- Respond to emergencies related property operations
- Provide the necessary technical information for major or minor repairs
- Prepare project quotes and obtain approval for submission
- Supervise contractor work
What you need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will have at least 3+ years of experience in commercial property management, and have excellent communication skills to effectively manage tenant requests, strong administrative skills, the ability to delegate responsibilities to subcontracts (maintenance, skilled trades etc), are organized, possess the ability to work under minimal supervision, basic knowledge of building systems and construction, possess excellent customer service skills, are tech savvy, possess and understanding of commercial leases (asset) and are bilingual.
