Receptionist and Administrative Assistant for provincial government agency client, downtown North Toronto.

Initial Term : January 6, 2025 to December 31, 2025.
Compensation : $23 per hour.
Regular Work Hours : From 9 am to 5 pm not including 45 minutes unpaid lunch break, Monday to Friday (36.25 work hours per week).
Work Location : 100% onsite at client's North York office.
Responsibilities Summary :
Provide in-person reception and switchboard services. Professionally receive and welcome visitors, clients, staff, messengers and delivery services to an active, high volume, reception area and lobby. Expedite high volume of internal and external communication.
- Receive, screen and direct all internal and external general calls.
- Receive and greet clients and visitors, and monitor access.
- Assist with day-to-day deliverables and projects by reviewing updating and creating materials.
- Coordinate couriers and deliveries.
- Flag emerging issues to management.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings.
- Additional reception, front desk and office administration responsibilities as required.
Qualifications :
Education : Highschool Diploma, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Work Experience : At least 1+ years of experience in staffing a busy reception desk and phone lines.
Preferred Sector Experience : Community services, health care services, or public information desk experience an asset.
Technical and Language Skills Requirements :
General proficiency in MSOffice including Word, Excel, and Outlook (will be tested).Strong data entry skills and attention to detail (will be tested).General proficiency with standard front desk office equipment including computer equipment, phones, printer, scanner, etc.Fluency in French is an asset.Task -Based Qualifications and Additional Attributes :
