SALARY RANGES FROM 80-140k DEPENDING ON EXP (plus bonus, full benefits, and profit sharing)
Responsibilities
Building a network of prospective customer contacts and working on that network
to identify, pursue, and win new freight sales business
Developing, maintaining, and growing a freight sales pipeline
Negotiating agreements on relevant trade lanes with direct and third-party carriers, and working to obtain the best rates and services possible
Predicting future market trends and developing new ideas to enhance existing sales and marketing strategies
Calling on companies in related market sectors (Fertilizer, Forest Products, Bulk
Grain) to solicit new and recurring freight business
Collaborating with our Trading and Logistics teams to support in-house freight
coordination and identify cost-saving opportunities
Monitoring and setting the example of Best in Class customer service levels
Modelling an internal culture of professionalism, healthy competition, and
collaboration
Requirements
A minimum of 5 Logistics / Supply Chain experience, preferably in bulk
transport (inland)
Previous Freight Forwarding experience, along with a keen understanding of the
North American trucking industry (Canada & US)
Proven success in a Sales environment, with a demonstrated entrepreneurial
background considered an asset
Strong Sales and Negotiation skills
An Entrepreneurial mindset
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt and
thrive under pressure
Exceptional communication skills - with excellent command of the English
language A thirst for learning and personal growth
