We are looking for a results-driven Product Owner 1 to join our team. In this role, you will gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, support the definition of product vision and strategy, and collaborate closely with development teams to deliver impactful solutions. You will engage directly with customers to understand their challenges, define solutions with the team, and ensure successful product execution from concept to launch.

This is a hybrid role with flexible onsite expectations, typically 1 to 2 days per week. New employees are expected to be onsite 2 to 3 times a week during their first three months to support onboarding and collaboration. #LI-Hybrid

About The Role

  • Act as the voice of the customer, translating user needs into actionable requirements for the IT team and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support the Senior Manager in monitoring market trends, conducting competitive analysis, and identifying opportunities to enhance product offerings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap.
  • Work with internal teams to execute against a shared vision, driving successful product outcomes.
  • Conduct market research to inform risk mitigation strategies and refine the overall product strategy.
  • Develop and maintain customer journey maps to validate user needs and effectively communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Convert strategic objectives into actionable development tasks, working cross-functionally to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
  • Define and manage the product backlog, developing epics, user stories, and features to guide development teams.
  • Prioritize backlog items based on outcome-oriented goals and business value.
  • Review and accept completed user stories to ensure they meet predefined criteria.
  • Plan and oversee the product roadmap, ensuring continuous enhancements and maintaining competitive market positioning.

What You Need to Succeed

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field

Experience

  • Strong knowledge and experience within the financial services industry, particularly in Customer Communications Solutions.
  • Proven ability to create roadmaps and business cases that drive product success.
  • Prior experience commercializing offerings for major clients.
  • Sound understanding of technologies and business practices in financial services.
  • Industry knowledge and experience within financial services.
  • Familiarity with emerging trends in digital customer communications.

Skill requirements

  • Expertise in managing product backlogs for digital products.
  • Hands-on experience in agile product development environments (Scrum, Kanban or SAFe).
  • Experience leading products through all stages of the development lifecycle, from ideation to launch.
  • Strong user research and customer feedback analysis skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional facilitation skills for stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering.
