Must be currently living and working in Canada as a Radiologist
2. Must have Canadian citizenship and / or permanent residency.
3. Comfortable working as an independent contractor on an associate basis with other Doctors in this practice
4. Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Diagnostic Radiology
5. Must be already certified with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, cpsa.ca, in Diagnostic Radiology, including full approval to do ultrasounds;
6. Up to date CPR certification
7. Has Canadian Association of Radiologists mammography accreditation or eligibility
8. CMPA membership
9. Eligible for an Alberta Health and Wellness billing number and practitioner ID
10. Able and willing to work up to 35 to 40 hours a week
11. Able and willing to commit three yearsPrimary duties may included, but not be limited to : . No on-call duties. Vacation / annual leave negotiable but must commit to work 38 out of 52 weeks per year.
Malpractice insurance partial reimbursement to be discussed at time of contract offerPrimary day-to-day work duties would include : · Be proficient in adult and basic pediatric radiography, including adult GI fluoroscopy· Be proficient in General body ultrasound, Obstetrical ultrasound, Vascular ultrasound, MSK ultrasound, and Breast ultrasound· Be proficient in or demonstrate aptitude for basic image-guided MSK and spine procedures for pain management, under both fluoroscopy and ultrasound as applicable· Be proficient in breast imaging and interventions, including tomosynthesis and ultrasound guided biopsies· Have some experience with or be willing to learn and perform DEXA BMD (no special licensing is required in Alberta)· Be comfortable in the clinical care of patients as required including history, physical exam, and counselling, including but not limited to womens’ health issues· Be comfortable in the emergency care of unwell patients· Be able to successfully manage and cultivate relationships with fellow radiologists and staff, referring physicians, and patients alike.
