Job description

Then we have a position for you! PURPLEFARM is one of Canada’s premier craft cannabis producers. Coming from the legacy market, PURPLEFARM currently operates a 12,000 sq ft facility out of Johnstown, Ontario and has expanded into Fredericton, New Brunswick to operate a 90,000 sq ft facility.

We are looking for a HVAC Technician to ensure our facility systems are functioning at optimal levels.

Responsibilities :

  • Routine maintenance : Inspecting systems, cleaning and replacing filters, performing systems checks and identifying any potential issues that might cause future breakdowns or inefficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and repair : Troubleshoot the potential causes of an issue.
  • Use knowledge and specialised diagnostic tools to locate and fix technical problems, such as leaks, air quality issues or system malfunctions.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications :

  • Must be HVAC certified.
  • Have 3-4 years of previous experience in HVAC.
  • Must be able to understand complex HVAC systems, know how to install, repair, and maintain them.
  • Feel comfortable troubleshooting any problems.
  • Be able to handle physically demanding tasks, requiring heavy lifting, climbing, kneeling and bending for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail is necessary for tasks such as evaluating and installing HVAC systems, diagnosing and repairing problems and complying with safety and other legal requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment.

    • Position :

  • Full-time in Fredericton.
  • Overtime is required during peak times and to meet deadlines.
  • Hourly rate : $26.00 – $33.00 (approx.). Compensation commensurate with education and experience.
