Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst

Our client is seeking an experienced Help Desk/Desktop Support to join a high-performing team in Ottawa. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for a strategic leader with a strong track record in overseeing software initiatives, driving innovation, and delivering successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Agile transformation, project management, and technical team leadership.

Requirements:

-Provide first‑level technical support to users via phone, email, and in person.

-Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.

-Install and configure computers, peripherals, and standard applications.

-Manage user accounts and access (e.g., Active Directory, Microsoft 365).

-Document support tickets and escalate issues when needed.

-Assist with device setups, updates, and software deployments.

-Support remote users using remote access tools.

-Maintain IT equipment and follow security and IT policies.

Work Environment:

-Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Some lifting or moving of equipment up to 40 lbs may be required. In-office work at our Ottawa office is required, and occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications:

-Post‑secondary education in a technical field, plus 1 year of IT experience or equivalent training with 3 years of IT experience.

-Experience providing guidance on technology tools and processes.

-Hands-on experience implementing and administering IT systems and tools.

-Strong background in user support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

-Creative problem‑solver with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

-Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

-Maintains confidentiality with integrity.

-Team‑oriented with advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Azure, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, Dynamics, AutoPilot, InTune, Active Directory).

-Experience with SAGE, Voxco, SAS, or SPSS is an asset.

-Able to lift 11–40 lbs and set up computer equipment.

-Skilled in software installation and troubleshooting applications, servers, hardware, and databases.

-Flexible availability when required.

-Experience working with First Nations communities and/or lived experience is an asset.
