The Sarnia‑Lambton Small Business Enterprise Centre provides access to grants, learning resources and free, confidential business advisory services to aspiring entrepreneurs and existing small business owners in the Sarnia‑Lambton area.

Position Overview

The Sarnia‑Lambton Economic Partnership is looking for a student for a sixteen (16) week placement starting May 4, 2026 through August 21, 2026 to support our small business centre, including management of our Summer Company student entrepreneurship grant program. Duties and responsibilities include :

• Coordinating the Summer Company student entrepreneurship grant program delivered through the Business Enterprise Centre of Sarnia‑Lambton.
• Organizing events and group mentoring sessions.
• Conducting regular progress check‑ins with Summer Company student grant recipients.
• Assisting in communications planning, development, and implementation using websites, various reports, and social media.
• Updating our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program.
• Collecting and analyzing program data and producing related performance reports.
• Conducting research and analysis on County of Lambton assets and economic data.
• Developing promotional tools based on program performance, requirements, and stakeholder feedback.
• Providing administrative back‑up by fielding telephone calls and directing to office staff as required.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
