JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Key Account Manager – House Accounts is responsible for the dedicated maintenance and overall sales performance of key house accounts at ALMAG. Working collaboratively with Inside Sales and Customer Service they will ensure the continuous and dedicated maintenance of a group of key customers. This position will work closely with all members of the Sales Team concerning day to day sales matters and the Production Team concerning order fulfilment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively manage the relationships with our customers, resulting in superb customer retention, satisfaction and maintained sales
- Update the CRM with information gathered from client on a daily basis
- Co-ordinate sales and service activities with Inside Sales Representatives and Customer Service Representatives
- Practice the consultative and value-added selling technique of “solution selling.”
- Suggest extrusion design changes to improve extrudability, function, assembly and price
- Report on quality requirements, market trends and competitive information
- Actively participate in the goal setting and sales planning process with the Vice President of Sales; assist in establishing budgets, forecasts and sales quotas
- Actively participate with the EVP in setting pricing policies and decisions
- Ensure compliance with all quality related policies, procedures, and system requirements
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Experience
Post-secondary education with mathematical, business, quality, and technical training preferred5+ years of experience in sales in an industrial environmentTechnical Skills / Competence
An understanding of computers, measurements, tolerances, basic geometry and the ability to read blueprintsExcellent telephone presence and manners, as well as strong public speaking and presentation skillsRequire late model 4-door automobile and a valid driver’s licenseShould have high energy level, a positive attitude and be able to work without direct supervisionEmpathy and confidence will allow the candidate to succeed in this positionGood time management and organizational skills are necessaryRequire late model 4-door automobile and a valid driver’s licenseShould be a strong team player and work well with othersBenefits
