Job description

Are you a skilled welder looking for a great local opportunity in East Edmonton? Our client is seeking a CWB-certified Welder with FCAW and MCAW qualifications to support an upcoming project in their Edmonton shop. This is a fantastic chance to join a strong team while staying close to home every night.

Job Details :

  • Location : Sherwood Park (Not Transit Accessible)
  • Shift : Monday–Thursday, 3 : 00 PM – 1 : 00 AM (with potential for overtime)
  • Start Date : Immediate
  • Employment Type : Temporary with strong potential for extension or permanent hire
  • Wage : $35.60 / hour + $1 shift premium

    • Responsibilities

  • Perform structural steel welds
  • Welding procedures FCAW / MCAW
  • Assist in moving material and parts involving heavy lifting
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

    • Qualifications

  • Previous structural steel welding work experience
  • FCAW / MCAW CWB qualification
  • Physically fit and able to work on a trolly welding under a structure
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to read a tape measure in both metric and imperial
  • Organization Skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities
  • Communication Skills – Both Written and Oral
  • Please note this work location is not transit accessible and your own transportation is a must
