AZ Lugger Truck Driver

GFL Environmental is looking for a full-time Lugger Driver to join our team. As a Lugger Driver, you will be responsible for transporting lime waste from our client site to a designated location. This role requires strong driving skills, knowledge of manual transmissions, and experience in handling dump trailers. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of driving experience and a valid driver's license.

Key Responsibilities :

Safely and efficiently operate a lugger truck to transport lime waste from Redpath Sugar to the designated location.

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe transportation.

Experience with the specific requirements of handling lugger bins and lugger trailer to ensure proper loading and unloading of mud waste.

Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the lugger truck.

Communicate effectively with customer personnel and other team members to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.

Follow established procedures for handling lime waste, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), if required

Ensure the lugger bins are securely fastened and positioned correctly on the truck and trailer.

Report any incidents, accidents, or issues promptly to the supervisor.

Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any maintenance required.

Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies :

A clean Driving Abstract and CVOR

AZ license, with minimum 3 years' experience

Lugger experience preferred.

Must be experienced with manual transmission.

A thorough knowledge of safe driving procedures and traffic laws

Previous experience driving around GTA and know the areas thoroughly.
