Position Overview
Reporting to the Business & Finance Lead, the Senior Business Analyst provides business and technical leadership to Misericordia Health Centre (MHC) and uses analytical ability, creativity and judgement in analyzing, developing and implementing solutions to address complex requirements. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for managing business development and strategic business design of new initiatives, completes business requirements, functional requirements, stakeholder analysis and business process analysis with limited guidance. The Senior Business Analyst provides education and training to operational staff to support the continuation of improved business processes as well as ongoing monitoring of process improvements.
Experience
- Seven (7) years progressively responsible experience in a high paced business environment with an emphasis on conducting business, report writing as well as process and data analysis to improve operations.
- Experience working with large or complex data sets, preferably health administrative, clinical or financial data systems (e.g. ADT, SAP, MIS, etc.).
- 3 years of progressive experience working in an analytical role with a focus on process review, quantitative analysis and performance measurement using analytical and reporting tools, specifically Power BI, SQL or BOBJ.
- Knowledge and experience working with project management techniques.
- Significant experience working with Microsoft Office and products.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- B.A. or B. Comm. with a major in Business Administration, Information Systems Data Analysis or Computer Science; Masters Degree would be an asset.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an asset.
- Lean Six Sigma training would be an asset.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications would be an asset.
