The P&C insurance strategy team accompanies our executive committee and board in making the sector’s most important long-term decisions. As the Manager of P&C insurance strategy, you will report to the Senior Director of Strategy and Innovation and will lead a team of strategy professionals serving a $7 billion enterprise. They will ensure the team develops a coherent and aligned master plan, produces a pertinent and action-oriented quarterly performance review, and delivers various in-depth and topical strategic reflections. To do this, the team develops a clear and structured fact base leveraging internal and external data sources, creates executive-ready presentations, and engages executives in value-added discussions. Our intent is to generate strategic orientations in the interests of members and clients and ensure leadership and execution teams are aligned and mobilized.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team which operates with the methodologies and calibre of an external consultancy, supporting the property and casualty insurance sector’s executive management committee and board of directors with their most important long-term decisions; accordingly, rigour, attention to detail and performance are crucial.

  • What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience, including four years in a management role
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
  • Advanced proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English speaking partners, members and / or clients
  • Expert knowledge in a strategy consultancy or internal strategy team with demonstrated progression in responsibility and team leadership
