Accounting Analyst

We are in search of an Financial Analyst to join our client's team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. You will be tasked with managing financial reporting, providing accounting support, and ensuring accurate and timely financial processes. Responsibilities :

• Accurately process and manage financial reports for retail stores, ensuring timely and accurate monthly and quarterly reporting.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business units and other internal parties, facilitating informed decision-making.
• Review and approve vendor invoices for store expenses, ensuring their validity and accuracy.
• Carry out audits on weekly pay cycle processing, verifying invoices, and vendor details to maintain accurate internal controls.
• Maintain and review the general ledger, prepare reconciliations, and investigate any identified variances.
• Provide support and oversight to retail store managers and corporate invoicing clerks to ensure adherence to company policy and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders on variances or discrepancies identified in reconciliations and implement necessary changes.
• Support Pharmacy, Telehealth, and Optical lines of business by establishing and / or improving processes to ensure timely and accurate financial data.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed to support the organization's financial goals
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Analyst or similar role
• Proficiency in account reconciliation techniques
• Mastery of Microsoft Excel for accounting purposes
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
• Enrolled in the CPA PEP program
