Additional Notes:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled
Senior Business Analyst (OneStream) to support the ongoing enhancement of our client’s global financial consolidation and reporting environment. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams to translate complex business needs into effective system solutions. Leveraging your strong understanding of consolidation accounting and enterprise performance management tools, you will play an integral part in optimizing financial reporting, streamlining processes, and advancing the organization’s OneStream capabilities. This position is ideal for an accountant with strong business analysis skills—or a business analyst with an accounting background—who thrives in a dynamic environment and is comfortable asking the right questions, managing diverse stakeholders, and driving improvements across a sophisticated consolidation platform.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with teams across Finance, Accounting, and Technology to collect, clarify, and confirm business requirements tied to consolidation, financial reporting, and planning activities within OneStream.
- Elicit, assess, and convert stakeholder inputs into well-defined functional requirements that support system upgrades and project deliverables.
- Contribute to the design and configuration of OneStream solutions, ensuring they reflect business needs and align with consolidation standards.
- Assist in the creation and rollout of financial and operational reports, dashboards, and analytics within the OneStream platform.
- Take part in testing cycles, solution validation, and the implementation of new capabilities, enhancements, and configuration updates.
- Investigate and help resolve advanced OneStream-related challenges in collaboration with technical teams and end users.
- Support governance efforts by helping manage metadata, maintain hierarchies, and oversee reporting structures.
- Develop and provide user documentation, training materials, and ongoing support to teams across the organization.
- Collaborate with the Senior Architect to ensure uniformity and integrity across data models, system architecture, and integration approaches.
- Focus on improvement and project-based initiatives, offering deep knowledge of consolidation processes and EPM/CPM tools rather than routine ticket handling.
The
ideal candidate holds a strong foundation in accounting, finance, or information systems, complemented by 5–10 years of experience in financial systems, business analysis, or consolidation-focused roles within complex, multi-entity environments. They bring a solid understanding of advanced consolidation concepts and hands-on experience with OneStream or comparable EPM/CPM platforms such as Hyperion, Cognos Controller, or SAP BPC. With excellent analytical capabilities, strong documentation and requirements-gathering skills, and the ability to translate intricate financial needs into practical system solutions, this individual excels in stakeholder engagement and thrives in project-driven environments. A CPA designation is an asset but not required when supported by relevant experience. This role will require you to be on site 4 days / week.
What will make you stand out:
- Possesses an accounting background paired with seasoned business analysis skills, including requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Has worked with OneStream or other consolidation tools (e.g., Hyperion, IBM Cognos, SAP consolidation platforms) and understands how enterprise consolidation systems operate.
- Demonstrates the ability to navigate complex financial structures, ask probing questions, and quickly grasp business processes and reporting needs.
- Brings experience from large or multi-entity organizations where sophisticated consolidation and reporting environments are common.
- Thrives in a project-focused role, contributing to enhancements, solution design, and system improvements rather than day-to-day operational support.
