Forklift Operator

Scope of the Position

We are currently looking for day shift forklift drivers to provide support to the warehouse through collecting, loading, shipping and receiving warehouse products. Hours are Monday through Thursday 6:00 am until 4:00 pm and Friday's 6:00 am until 3:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• All work must be performed in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with Company Policy, local, provincial and/or federal rules and regulations;
• Follow work instructions
• Identify and report faulty equipment, damages and safety concerns to supervisor immediately
• Load and unload product using forklift trucks
• When needed help out other drivers
• Store product in proper places in warehouse
• Deliver product to various areas in a safely and timely manner
• Keep area clean and organized;
• Maintain material handling equipment by recharging during breaks and at end of shift
• Performs other duties as required by managers and or supervisor to keep pace with changes in scope of work.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma
• Current on site forklift operator’s certificate
• 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
• Good communication (Read and comprehend instructions)
• Organizational and dexterity skills
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of components and materials used in the production process
• Basic computer skills
