This role is crucial to ensure that we focus on SEO based conversions and align our tactics with our product and services while working with truly passionate cross-functional team members.
The best candidate will be someone who is deeply curious, analytical, brings a holistic approach and constantly investigates how we can improve our SEO in a measurable way. This is currently a remote position with close, daily team interactions. We are a diverse, collaborative and welcoming team.
Job description
As an SEO Specialist with Sekure, you’ll do more than provide value to your team; you’ll pass that value on to our customers. Here’s how :
- Defining and building keyword lists based on Sekure’s objectives and market opportunity, using a mix of proprietary tools, analytics data, and PPC data.
- Performing keywords research to identify gaps and new opportunities, preparing and executing on-page optimization strategies and content briefs to achieve organic visibility for our clients.
- Prepare website technical audits and performance reports to identify areas of success, concerns and prioritize action items and produce user stories for development sprints.
- Reviewing website server logs, crawl reports, and analytics reports to come up with strategies to improve crawl budget and indexation
- Reviewing web analytics data to provide feedback to our internal team on performance, and to analyze visitor behavior and trends to come up with next steps.
- Champion and adhere to all SEO best practices, help innovate and collaborate with the search marketing strategy.
- Stay on top of latest search marketing trends, share findings and resources to help team and management consistently remain updated on high paced developing digital world.
- Work with the Sekure digital marketing team to help elevate client expectations and share insights and knowledge. ( specify other pillars)
- Utilize media research tools (SEM Rush, Similar Web, Comscore, etc.) and resources to aid in telling the story for the client.
- Organize and participate in group presentations and decks delivering reporting of account performance, providing insightful analysis / trends, recommendations and opportunities to meet goals and KPI’s.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams, consistently seek and share innovative ways to help elevate expectations and goals.

3-5 years of SEO experience on a Digital Marketing team.Minimum of Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in marketing, economics, or technical specialtyCandidates with SEO experience on marketing campaigns targeting SMBs for financial or payment processing industries get extra stars. ★Experience with enterprise level SEO tools (ex : Deepcrawl, Conductor, brightedge etc.) is an asset.Advanced skills in Excel, Word and PowerPointExperience with location management platforms.Experience with agile methodology, user story production and sprints.Experience testing and optimizing responsive landing pages and emails.Understanding of current marketing and data privacy regulations.Excellent knowledge of search engine optimization best practices.Working knowledge of UX and accessibility recommendations.Excellent writing skills in both English and French (bonus points if you’re familiar with American turns of phrase).Excellent knowledge of Google marketing tools, including AdWords, Analytics, Data Studio, Search Console, Tag Manager, Web Trends, etc.Excellent knowledge of online marketing platforms (e.g., AdWords, Bing, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn) is a must.Familiarity with Wordpress and basic coding languages (such as XML, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript) is a plus.Bachelor’s degree desired but not required if your work experience and portfolio knock our socks off.Every marketer makes a mistake.” – All Marketers
