Financial Analyst

Be part of a dynamic team transforming financial operations! If you're skilled in Excel, data organization, and building reports, this hands-on role offers the chance to modernize processes, develop KPIs, and drive meaningful change.

This is a 3-month contract to start and begins early January!

Who- the Company :

Known for its strong brand, our client is a leading company with a legacy of connecting communities through coastal travel!

What- the Role :

  • Monthly Reporting : Build and manage monthly reports, (SG&A)
  • Data Management : Work with GP and Report Writer (outdated systems). Get into the details, clean up the data, and make it more functional and efficient.
  • Budgeting :

Support a shift from top-down budgets to department-managed budgets starting January.

  • Help educate teams on budgeting and accountability.
  • Metrics & KPIs :

    • Develop KPIs for operations

  • Drive financial analysis, variance reporting, and explanations to help the business make better decisions.
  • Cultural Shift : Support a mindset shift towards more accountability, structure, and forward-looking goals within the finance team and other departments.

    • Who- the Candidate :

  • Advanced Excel skills : strong with organizing data, formulas, and report creation.
  • Hands-on, creative problem solver who likes working with data and building reports.
  • Experience working in a fast-changing environment.
  • Familiarity with Great Plains and Report writer ideal, not mandatory
  • Financial analysis background essential; designation not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver on tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and computer skills, with sophisticated spreadsheet skills

    • How Much : $36-43 / hr + 4% vacation pay.

    Where : Richmond by YVR, Hybrid work model of in-office / remote, 3 days onsite.
