One of our reputable Federal Government clients is seeking an Information / Records Management Specialist to assist with the digitization of corporate records. As an Information / Records Management Specialist, you will be at the heart of the digitization project, responsible for transforming physical records into an efficient digital system. Working on an as-needed basis, you’ll ensure the accurate and orderly conversion of corporate records, supporting the organization’s transition to a paperless environment. Apply today!

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced imaging equipment to convert paper records into digital formats, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Assist with the preparation, scanning, and quality review of documents in specified electronic locations.
  • Retrieve specified records from the file room based on a pre-determined inventory list.
  • Maintain records in proper order during the retrieval process.
  • Transport records from the file room to the digitization operations area.
  • Prepare documents with pre-defined operating procedures.
  • Perform a preliminary quality control to confirm an effective product.
  • Save and label files to a digital repository.
  • Check each scanned record to confirm that the record is complete, and the quality meets prescribed standards.
  • Attend periodic meetings to discuss progress, issues, priorities, and opportunities.
  • May be asked to perform other duties related to imaging and maintenance of paper file collection.

Qualifications

  • Secret-level Security Clearance (must be actively held).
  • Post Post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Fluent in English or French or both.
  • Experience in records management or document digitization, particularly in a corporate or government setting.
  • Recent experience using computer databases for electronic data entry or administrative tasks.
  • Familiar with computer databases such as; Microsoft Access or Oracle.
  • Knowledgeable with quality control guidelines and verifying scanned files.
  • Ability to use desktop scanners and software to scan important documents.
