Alta Material Handling is seeking a full‑time Sales Coordinator for our Dorval, QC location. Reporting to the Corporate Rental Manager, the successful candidate will manage customer orders throughout the entire order process while working with all departments to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Order equipment from the OEM to complete customer orders.Request approved discount reimbursement from the manufacturer.Send monthly emails to brokerage houses with lists of equipment to be received (new or used).Facilitate communication between Sales Representatives and Vendors regarding order placement, specifications, and scheduled delivery.Enter new or used equipment into the SILK operating system and maintain inventory.Receive purchase orders issued for equipment ordered through SILK and process all supplier invoices; pass them to the AP department.Enter equipment data, such as description, model type, year, options, and warranty, into the operating system.Communicate with Sales reps and customers, verbally or via email, regarding order status.Create work orders for PDI / modifications.Prioritize work orders for the service department and follow up to maintain delivery schedules.Review work orders to ensure billed hours align with agreed cost per sales worksheet.Arrange delivery by coordinating equipment delivery dates with shipping, the customer, and Sales reps.Create shipping documents with all necessary information for the Shipping department.Process customer sales invoices according to signed agreements.Maintain filing systems and update them after equipment is shipped.Create and forward equipment files to the rental department to initiate rental contracts.Assist manufacturer’s yearly audit by preparing requested files and ensuring all required information is present.Process National accounts sales in the Sales Territory for the manufacturer.Work independently with accuracy and accountability.Qualifications
Bilingual French and English (mandatory).Experience in a material handling environment is an asset.Excellent customer interaction skills and issue resolution capabilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.Strong oral and written communication skills and above‑average problem‑solving skills.Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.Culture is Job #1
