Executive Director - Nisa Foundation

Position Summary :

The Executive Director (ED) is the chief executive of Nisa Foundation and is responsible for the organization's strategic, operational, and financial management.

The ED will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers to advance the mission of Nisa Foundation. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in fundraising, stakeholder management, finance, marketing, community engagement, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership and Vision :

  • Provide visionary leadership to the organization, setting strategic goals and ensuring their implementation.
  • Inspire and motivate staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to achieve Nisa Foundation's mission.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the organization, representing it to the community, donors, and partners.

Fundraising and Development :

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government sources.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors and funding partners.
  • Oversee grant writing and reporting, ensuring compliance with all funding requirements.

Financial Management :

  • Ensure the financial health of the organization
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide regular financial reports to the Board of Directors and recommend appropriate actions to address financial challenges.

Marketing and Communications :

  • Develop and execute a robust marketing and communication strategy to enhance the organization's visibility and reputation.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling content for various platforms, including social media, website, newsletters, and press releases.

Program Management and Development :

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services that align with the mission of Nisa Foundation.
  • Ensure programs are effective, sustainable, and responsive to community needs.
  • Foster innovation and continuous improvement in program delivery.

Community Engagement :

  • Actively engage with the community, attending local events and meetings to represent Nisa Foundation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and political representatives.
  • Advocate for the organization's mission and programs in community and political spaces.

Team Leadership and Culture :

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive organizational culture.
  • Promote a collaborative work environment that encourages creativity, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Demonstrate passion and commitment to the organization's mission, serving as the spirit and driving force of the team.

Governance and Board Relations :

  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure effective governance and strategic direction.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to the Board regarding the organization's operations and financial status.

Qualifications :

  • At least 5 years of experience in leadership positions in the non-profit sectors with demonstrated success of organizational growth
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, including securing major gifts and / or grants.
  • Expertise in marketing, public relations, and communications.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passion for the mission of Nisa Foundation and a deep commitment to community service.
  • Ability to think strategically, innovate, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong community engagement and advocacy skills.
