Job description :
The HSEH Manager is responsible for the health, safety, environment and hygiene objectives of our 2 plants on the North Shore of Montreal.
His / her objective is to set up and implement our HSE excellence program.
To this end, his task is as follows :
- Ensure regulatory compliance and HSEH Standards for both plants
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures
- Ensure the development of a health and safety culture by evaluating and optimizing current processes and procedures
- Keep abreast of changes and implement adjustments to existing programs and procedures
- Lead, develop and deliver employee training programs
- Develop an HSEH culture with employees at both plants
- Responsible for HSEH audits and inspections
- Coordinate visits with internal and external collaborators
- Submit annual reports (waste, water use, etc.)
- Collaborate in the development of Corpo projects and ensure implementation for both plants
- Manage the handling, storage and disposal of hazardous materials and ensure adherence to safety and environmental protection rules
- Identify and address improvement opportunities by implementing strategic plans with various managers
- Analyze accident history with recommendations
- Identify workplace hazards and implement a control and correction strategy
Skills and qualifications :
University degree preferably one of the following three certifications :1. CHMM C certification
2. Certified Safety Professional
3. Industrial hygiene certification
